Vijayawada, January 26, 2022: The NTR Memorial Trust has started expanding its ‘telemedicine’ services for Covid patients in Andhra Pradesh as cases continue to rise in the state. A team of 12 doctors has so far treated over 8,000 patients through video calls.
The NTR Trust zoom app link is being shared to enable thousands of Covid patients to make use of these services every day.
Managing Trustee and wife of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Nara Bhuvaneswari launched the services in the state. NTR Trust, in coordination with TDP workers, is expanding telemedicine services by sharing the zoom consultation link with one lakh people daily.
‘’After listening to each patient’s health issues, the doctors give prescriptions. Of the 12 doctors, four belong to the US while the remaining eight hail from Andhra Pradesh. The Indian doctors are giving treatment under the supervision of the senior US doctors,” the Trust said.
The NTR Trust has set up six rooms for running the virtual hospital for Covid patients. The Trust is also distributing free medicines to the patients and is setting up oxygen plants at three places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana according to the reports published in indiatoday.in.
TDP National President and former CM Chandrababu Naidu has already inaugurated one such plant at Kuppam. One more oxygen plant will be inaugurated in Tekkeli Government hospital in Srikakulam district in the coming days. One oxygen plant is reportedly getting ready at Gudur in Mahabubabad district of Telangana.
