Tirupati, September 21, 2022: TTD executive officer AV Dharma Reddy on Tuesday launched the trial run of a new pilgrim-friendly mobile application which would assist devotees in reaching different destinations in the hill town in a hassle-free manner.

The Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala attracts devotees from across the globe who come from different backgrounds and speak different languages. Many times, devotees often lose their way while trying to reach their destinations, especially due to the language barrier. The ‘Tirumala Darshini’ mobile app seeks to address this problem.

Dharma Reddy, who reviewed and launched the trial run of the app, said it will provide an easy way to help devotees reach their desired destination. They would need to download ‘Tirumala Darshini’ app on their smartphones and get instant directions to over 40 locations across the hill town. The app can provide directions to all cottages, rest houses, laddu counters, Vaikunta queue complex, vigilance offices, hospitals, museum, mutts, mada streets, police station, and luggage and mobile storage units. According to the reports published in timesofindia.indiatimes.com

All these would be embedded in QR codes, which would be placed in prominent spots at APSRTC bus station, central reception office, additional EO’s office, Vaikunta complex, and sub enquiry offices. Once the devotees scan the QR codes, all locations can easily be identified and directions can be found on the maps. If the devotee clicks on any of the location point, the app will lead him/her to that particular destination.

The mobile application will initially be reserved for Srivari sevaks who render free services at different places in Tirumala. After identifying the short-comings, a full-fledged application would be launched soon.
