New Delhi, October 15, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Sunday and extended heartfelt congratulations on the latter’s remarkable 25 years in public service as Head of Government.
During the meeting, Naidu lauded the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership in driving the ‘NextGen GST reforms’, describing them as ‘transformative and people-centric’.
Mr. Naidu announced that the upcoming ‘Super GST – Super Savings’ event in Kurnool would celebrate public enthusiasm for the initiative. He invited the Prime Minister to grace the occasion.
Mr. Naidu also invited Mr. Modi to preside over the CII Partnership Summit 2025, scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15. The summit aims to showcase Andhra Pradesh’s growing industrial potential and its commitment to becoming a key investment destination in India’s economic landscape.
Mr. Naidu said that the Prime Minister’s participation in the event would inspire investors and stakeholders to strengthen India’s economic resurgence.
On October 14, Mr. Naidu is scheduled to participate in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Google at Hotel Taj Mansingh, New Delhi.
The agreement involves the establishment of Asia’s first 1-gigawatt hyperscale data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, representing an investment of nearly USD 10 billion (₹ 84,000 crore).
The project will serve as the cornerstone of the ambitious ‘AI City Vizag’ initiative, combining cutting-edge AI infrastructure, data capacity, renewable energy integration, and global fibre-optic connectivity.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will attend the event, along with Google’s top global executives, including Thomas Kurian (CEO, Google Cloud), Bikash Koley (vice-president, Global Infrastructure), and Karan Bajwa (president, Asia Pacific Google Cloud) according to the reports published in .
Speaking ahead of the event, IT Minister Nara Lokesh described the project as a ‘transformative step for the future of Andhra Pradesh and a defining moment in India’s AI-driven growth.’
The project has been approved by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) and will be facilitated through single-window clearances, renewable energy integration, and plug-and-play infrastructure managed by the Economic Development Board and the Department of ITE&C.
