There was a difference of 3 thousand acres between the report given to NITI Aayog and what the CM said in the House. On December 20, 2022, the AP government released another calculation that it has collected 75,670 acres for housing.
On that day, the Housing Minister said that the government has spent 20,961 crores for the construction of houses. He said that only Rs 9,517 crore was spent on land acquisition. On October 12, 2023, CM Jagan pressed the usual button and said that 5 lakh houses have been raided. Further, on the same day, the government spent Rs. 56,102 crores for land acquisition. According to the calculations given by the government and government officials, there was a difference of Rs 35,141 crore in the Jagananna housing scheme within a period of 17 months.
