Amaravati, November 17,  2023 : A huge scandal has taken place in Jagananna colonies. There are huge differences in the amount of land collected and the thousands of crores of rupees that have been spent on it.

The numbers were changed several times in 17 months. Janasena PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar asked what YCP leaders should say about this rather than a scandal. He spoke to the media at the party office in Mangalagiri on Thursday. On the third day, the corruption of the Housing Department was exposed as part of the ‘YCP regime – corruption jamana’ program.

The land collected by the government for the construction of Jagananna houses in the state is 28,554 acres. 25,374 acres of private land. 4,455 acres have been acquired through land pooling. The government spent Rs.56,102 crores for land acquisition alone. The question now is why there is a difference between the calculations announced in the Legislative Assembly, the calculations given by the ministers and the calculations heard by the Chief Minister.

Also, there is a difference in the calculations sent to NITI Aayog..? What is the real reason behind showing a difference of Rs.35,141 crores in just 17 months..? What is this called if not corruption..? In the report given by the government to NITI Aayog in June 2021, it is said that 30,76,000 house titles have been given and 68,381 acres of land has been acquired for that purpose. On March 17, 2022, in the Legislative Assembly, CM Jagan said that 30,76,000 people have been given house titles, 71,811 acres have been collected for this purpose and Rs.25 thousand crores have been spent.

There was a difference of 3 thousand acres between the report given to NITI Aayog and what the CM said in the House. On December 20, 2022, the AP government released another calculation that it has collected 75,670 acres for housing.

On that day, the Housing Minister said that the government has spent 20,961 crores for the construction of houses. He said that only Rs 9,517 crore was spent on land acquisition. On October 12, 2023, CM Jagan pressed the usual button and said that 5 lakh houses have been raided. Further, on the same day, the government spent Rs. 56,102 crores for land acquisition. According to the calculations given by the government and government officials, there was a difference of Rs 35,141 crore in the Jagananna housing scheme within a period of 17 months.  According to the reports published in www.andhrajyothy.com .

The numbers they say reveal their corruption’, he said. He alleged that the corruption of the YCP leaders, who are cheating the poor people in every way and looting their wealth in their name, has exceeded Rs.3 thousand crores.
