Andhra Pradesh received investment proposals worth Rs 13 lakh crore: CM Jagan at Global Investors Summit

Vijayawada, March 03, 2023: Andhra Pradesh received 340 investment proposals with an investment of Rs 13 lakh crore, providing employment to nearly six lakh people across 20 sectors, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced on Friday at the inaugural event of the Global Investors Summit (GIS) held in Visakhapatnam.

CM Jagan said, “It is a proud moment to announce that we have received 340 proposals with the investment of Rs 13 lakh crore, providing employment to 6 lakh people in 20 sectors. As of today, 92 MOUs with an investment of 11.85 lakh crore will be executed. We would like to inform the domestic and international investor community that you mean a lot to us; you are important to us. Opportunities the state has to offer and its emphasis on healthy competition and long term partnership has to be explored.”

CM Jagan added, “India’s G20 leadership under PM Modi will be a defining moment for us. India is one of the fastest growing states in the world and for direct foreign investment as well. Robust infrastructure with ports, 6 airports, 3 industrial corridors developed in Andhra Pradesh, strategic location, skilled youth and proactive government with a policy framework are helping the state.”

“The state government has 26 skill colleges with international standards with industry involvement. I want to congratulate and reiterate to ensure sustainable development in the state. We urge all business leaders to participate and explore the potential of various sectors in Andhra Pradesh. We have to assure you that we are one phone call away and that is our assurance,” CM Jagan said.

He also made his plans clear to make Visakhapatnam the state’s executive capital according to the reports published in indiatoday.in.

Speaking at the inaugural session of the two-day Global Investors Summit 2023 in Visakhapatnam, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman & Managing Director, Reliance Industries Ltd said his group will be investing in Andhra Pradesh to set up a 10 gigawatt renewable solar energy project.
