Andhra Pradesh: Tirumala temple security system to be replicated at Ayodhya Ram mandir

Tirupati, January 26, 2022: A team of senior police officials from the Uttar Pradesh met Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams chief vigilance and security officer (CVSO) Gopinath Jatti and sought the TTD’s vigilance and security wing’s support to replicate the security system and other best practices at the Ram mandir at Ayodhya.

TTD’s CVSO gave a detailed presentation to the Uttar Pradesh Police at Sri Padmavathi guest house in Tirupati on Wednesday and elaborated the various security measures implemented by the vigilance and security wing at the Tirumala temple and at other pilgrim congregation points across the hill town.

Gopinath Jatti also briefed the Uttar Pradesh police team about the queue line management, pilgrim crowd management, adoption of advanced technology mechanisms from security perspective and other best practices adopted by the TTD.

He also underlined that the iconic Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala visited by more than 3.5 crore devotees annually, is well guarded by different tiers of specialised security forces, including the Octopus elite forces according to the reports published in timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
