CM Chandrababu chairs day two of collectors’ conference, lauds clearing of e-files

Vijayawada, May 08, 2026: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu presided over the second day of the Collectors’ Conference at the State Secretariat. The meeting focused on reviewing key initiatives, including file clearance, the ‘AWARE’ system, and the ‘Data Lake’ project.

Naidu expressed satisfaction at the dramatic reduction in e-file clearance times—from several days to just a few hours. He congratulated Ministers, Collectors, SPs, and Secretaries for their swift action, and praised Chief Secretary Sai Prasad for clearing a large volume of files in an average of 10 hours according to the reports published in thehansindia.com.

However, the Chief Minister also issued directives to some Collectors, SPs, and Joint Collectors who were behind in clearing files, urging them to speed up their processes. The IT Secretary reported that, compared to the previous quarter, the average time for file clearance across the state has decreased from 10 days to just two, largely due to the Chief Minister’s active supervision.

Naidu stressed that faster file disposal leads to quicker government services for the public and is vital for overall governance. He directed officials at all levels—from the Chief Secretary and Department Secretaries to Mandal officials—to enhance their efficiency. He also emphasised the importance of reducing manual files and integrating technology, while maintaining a “human touch.” The Chief Minister urged officials to aim for e-file disposal within 24 hours.
