Death threat to Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, case booked

Tirupati, January 18, 2022: Tirupati East police registered a case after an unidentified person threatened to assassinate chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Twitter.

Based on a complaint from local YSRC leader Mylam Srikanth Reddy, cops registered a case on Monday.

The accused, who calls himself Kannabhai on his Twitter handle, ran a series of tweets abusing the chief minister recently according to the reports published in timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

In one of them, the accused threatened to kill the CM and his wife by becoming a suicide bomber. Cops said they are trying to trace the IP address of the user. An FIR has been registered at Tirupati East police station.
