Vijayawada, September 06, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Minister of IT & HRD Nara Lokesh paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday, and requested him to extend all support to the State government in attracting investments.
Mr. Lokesh also expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for approving the establishment of an Advanced System in Package (ASIP) semiconductor unit in the State that would mark a turning point for Andhra Pradesh’s industrial growth.
Mr. Lokesh sought assistance from the Union government for developing the IT, Electronics & Communication sector in order to harness the potential for large-scale employment generation and boosting the local economy.
The State government was implementing several reforms in the education sector for improving the academic standards, he said, and requested the Prime Minister to help in achieving better results, especially in higher education according to the reports published in thehindu.com.
The HRD Minister also acknowledged the Central government’s support in the implementation of welfare schemes and development programmes in the last 15 months.
Mr. Lokesh expressed commitment on behalf of the State government to contribute to the realisation of the Viksit Bharat-2047 vision.
Also, he thanked the Prime Minister for reducing the GST rates to the benefit of the common people. He noted that these reforms would further hand-hold the MSMEs and small businesses in Andhra Pradesh and give a bigger push to savings of the middle class.
Coffee-table book on ‘Yoga Andhra’
Mr. Modi promised to do his best for the development of Andhra Pradesh. On the occasion, Mr. Lokesh presented the Prime Minister a coffee-table book on ‘Yoga Andhra’.
